Soybean Meal
Soybean meal is a protein-rich animal feed raw material that is produced as a by-product during the extraction of soybean oil from soybeans. After crushing and extracting the beans, the remaining solid fraction is heated to reduce anti-nutritional factors and then ground into soybean meal.
Soybean meal contains a high crude protein content and a favorable amino acid profile, particularly a high lysine content. Therefore, it is used worldwide in feeds for pigs, poultry, ruminants, and aquafeed. When used, origin, GMO status, consistency, and sustainability play an increasingly important role.
