Privacy

We believe it is important that you inform yourself about the data we process, why we do so, and—last but not least—what your rights are regarding your privacy. For example, we gain insight into and information about (online) behaviour through cookies on this website.

Which data does Cropenta process?

Cropenta has obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We process data relating to your organisation and to you as a contact person. This privacy policy addresses that processing.

If you work for an organisation with which we (may) do business and you are our contact person, or if you are the owner of that organisation, we process not only company data but also personal data.

Personal data tells us something about an individual, such as your name, gender, or your position within the organisation you work for. Processing personal data includes collecting, storing, using, and deleting such data.

Depending on the purpose, Cropenta processes the following (personal) data:
  • company and/or trade name, contact person, address, telephone number, email address, date of birth
  • VAT number, Chamber of Commerce number or equivalent for non-Dutch organisations
  • products or services purchased from us (orders) or your interests (quotations)
  • information you voluntarily share with us, for example via a comment field or during a telephone conversation
We naturally do not want this data to be exposed. Therefore, we protect it carefully, every day.

Why do we process personal data?

Cropenta processes personal data on the legal basis of legitimate interest and the performance of a contract.

How do we obtain your data, what do we do with it, and for what purpose?

We use and store (personal) data to serve you (and/or your organisation) as efficiently, easily, and effectively as possible, for the following purposes:

  • Contact
You can contact us via various channels, such as telephone, email, social media, or post. If you submit a question via a web form or email, we process your name, telephone number, and email address in order to respond to you.
  • Providing quotations and selling products
If you request a quotation or purchase products from us, we process personal data to provide an appropriate quotation and to properly perform any agreement we enter into.
  • Providing service and fulfilling our duty of care
We may periodically inform you, as a contact person, about products and services relevant to your organisation.
  • Complying with legal obligations
As a company, we are legally required to retain certain data, such as invoices containing your name and address and records of purchases made on behalf of your organisation.
  • Email updates
If you explicitly subscribe to email updates, we may send you emails with personalised recommendations based on your click and open behaviour and/or your website visit history (up to two years), special whitepapers, new products or services, and, for example, birthday greetings. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of each email.
  • Downloads
If you download whitepapers or manuals published by us, you automatically give us permission to contact you without obligation. For this purpose, we use the data you provide when downloading.

Third parties

In some cases, we engage third parties to process personal data on our behalf, such as an IT company that maintains our website. We carefully screen such parties, enter into a data processing agreement with them, and monitor compliance.
We only provide data to third parties if you have given your consent, if it is necessary for the performance of an agreement, or if required by law.

Tracking scripts

We use tracking scripts to analyse website visitor statistics, enabling us to continuously improve our website.

Your rights

You have the right to access the data we process about you. If you disagree with the processing, you may object.
If you believe we have incorrect data about you, please let us know so we can correct it. If you believe your personal data is being processed unlawfully or incorrectly, you may request a restriction of processing. If you prefer your data to be deleted, you may request this. We will then delete all data that we are not legally required to retain.
