Biodiesel

Biodiesel is a fuel made from vegetable oil or animal fat. It is often used in a blend with diesel derived from petroleum. Depending on how it is obtained, biodiesel can be a sustainable energy source.

What are the benefits of biodiesel?

Biodiesel is biodegradable. It also contains no toxic substances and no sulfur. When biodiesel is burned, fewer sulfur oxides and carbon monoxide are released. This is not the case with regular fuel. The main reason for using biodiesel is that CO2 emissions are neutralized.
