By means of the glycemic value, it is indicated how quickly carbohydrates are digested in the intestine and whether the glucose is absorbed into the blood. The height of the value depends on how the product is prepared. A higher glycemic value is mentioned if carbohydrates are broken down quickly during digestion. Carbohydrates that are broken down slowly have a low glycemic value.
