Glycemic value
The glycemic value indicates how quickly carbohydrates are digested in the intestine and whether glucose is absorbed into the blood. The height of the value depends on the way the product is prepared. A higher glycemic value is indicated when carbohydrates are rapidly broken down during digestion. Carbohydrates that are broken down slowly have a low glycemic value.
