Maltodextrine

Maltodextrine is a high-quality carbohydrate and tastes moderately sweet. Maltodextrine is absorbed by the body faster than starch. Because maltodextrine is a complex carbohydrate, it is absorbed more slowly and better into the blood. As a result, the carbohydrate maltodextrine provides energy over a longer term and regulates blood sugar levels. Maltodextrine can be made from, for example, potatoes and corn. Maltodextrine may sometimes contain gluten because it is often made from grains in Europe.

Maltodextrine against insects

For controlling aphids, mealybugs, whiteflies, and spider mites, maltodextrine is used. Due to the maltodextrine, the insects can no longer move or their breathing openings get clogged.
