VEM

VEM stands for Feed Unit Milk. It is a ratio to represent the net energy of a feed. The value is used for dairy cows. VEM provides an important indication of the total amount of organic matter broken down from grass or grass silage in the cow's rumen. This includes carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.
