Soybean Hulls
Soybean hulls are a protein-rich animal feed raw material that is produced as a byproduct during the extraction of soybean oil from soybeans. After crushing and extracting the beans, the remaining solid fraction is heated to reduce anti-nutritional factors and then ground into soybean hulls.
Soybean hulls contain a high crude protein content and a favorable amino acid profile, particularly a high lysine content. Therefore, it is used worldwide in feeds for pigs, poultry, ruminants, and aquafeed. When used, origin, GMO status, consistency, and sustainability are becoming increasingly important.
